What can you do with old maps? Does anyone still use an atlas? I don't think so. But how beautiful are these cards often? So let's save them by upcycling them into great original vintage button magnets!
I have always been fascinated by the warm colors, fine details of rivers and borders, colored countries, mysterious arrows and numbers and the menacing depths of oceans and seas.
But especially the iconic names of all those cities and islands!
These are 25 mm (1 inch) magneetbuttons. Other formats would bring together too many different countries (especially in Europe) with the maps we currently have available.
The first results can be found below. Some names are no longer used because this was a real old map. That's a nice extra and transforms these magnets into little time capsules on your refrigerator or magnetic board.
Let yourself dream away to different places and times, won't you? Either way, these cards have been given a new life and function as inspiring eye-catchers. Many more to come! (I've cut up entire planets...)
